  • PENNSYLVANIA ANIMALS

These are all creatures I have encountered in Pennsylvania. Our house in Lemont is frequently the site of visits from the animals shown here, but I've seen stuff around elsewhere too. It's not quite the same fauna as seen regularly in LA!

    Groundhog (21 August 2004)

This little fella showed up between rains; looks like he was sheltering under our deck.

    Bat (27 July 2004)

It was kind of rainy and cool this day, and this little fella was hanging on the side of Eisenhower Parking Garage on Penn State campus. He wasn't getting wet, but it sure looked like an exposed spot to hang out to me.

    Squirrels (2 July 2004)

It is definitely a good omen that the first creatures to frequent our house when we moved in were squirrels. Squirrels, after all, are among the most coolest of creatures. These little guys made short work of the bird seed.
