Workshop Description

The Center for Fundamental Theory of the Institute for Gravitation and the Cosmos at Penn State is organizing a three-day workshop titled "Supergravity versus Superstring Theory in the Ultraviolet." The dates are August 27-30, 2009 (both days inclusive). This workshop will bring together experts in supergravity, superspace and higher-loop calculations aiming at unraveling the high energy behavior of supergravity theories in four dimensions. We plan to keep the workshop quite informal with time allotted for discussions. The invited speakers include:

Registration

There is no registration fee. However, because of limited seating capacity, all participants must register by August 21, 2009. Please email Randi Neshteruk to register for the workshop.

Workshop Location

The workshop will be held in 320 Whitmore Lab on the Penn State University Park campus.

A variety of maps of Penn State and State College are available.

Workshop Program

A talk schedule is now available. A detailed program with speaker information will be available at a later date.
